Go for it, best value for 11volt set. They only go on sale 3 or 4 times a year.

The PS31 (the drill in this kit) was announced in 2010. It's still an excellent drill, but it was followed by the PS32 about 3-4 years ago, which has now been followed and improved upon with the GSR12v-300, released this year.

Similarly the PS41 has been followed by the PS42, which has more modes and better battery life.

$99 is now a fairly common price for this very solid, proven tool kit. Not really very slick, but still an excellent value if you're going to use it.

Also available at Lowes B&M YMMV for the same price. Can use the $20 off $100 coupon (can be purchased on e-bay) to bring down the price to $80 +tax +coupon cost

I have this kit and the tools have been strong enough for everything I've used them on. Very good for $100

I bought this a few days ago (same price) and it arrived today. The tape seal on the box was intact with the Bosch logo, but after opening it up the tools were just thrown into the bag with no wrapping or packaging, and they are somewhat 'dirty' for being brand new.

Is that normal for other people's experience?

I bought mine at Lowe's today and used the $20 off $100 coupon as mb_pharoh noted (thanks for reminding me of that). mine was sealed as well and just tossed into the bag too (outside of the bag's Velcro loops) but the tools didn't look "dirty". They appeared brand new and even had sort of like a new car smell (fresh plastic/electronics scent).

They came with very little charge so I charged them up and did a quick project I've been putting off for a while. The result: I'm VERY pleased. So compact and plenty powerful. Mind you, my only experience with home tools is with Home Depot's Ryobi 18v products so take my positive impression with that in mind.

There is one noticeable flaw though: it has a slight chuck wobble that my Ryobi doesn't, both the Bosch's impact and regular drill. I'm thinking about going back down to Lowe's to see if they'll let me open up another one to check if that's 'just how it is' or if mine just has sloppier tolerances for whatever reason. From my quick research, reading from comments and reviews about Bosch tools, they've apparently gone downhill over the years... and maybe now there's a bit of a "lottery". Perhaps this one was just built on a Monday/Friday. But honestly, this is not a show stopper for my use case and I'll still keep it if the other does the same.

Also one more note, I asked the employee in that department if this was a "sale" since it had a yellow tag and he said no, the yellow tags indicate the new lower price change and this is the product's new price going forward. So yeah, not exactly any kind of limited time, "slick deal" here. Just a good combo tool set at a great price (~$80 bucks w/ discount) that I wouldn't have been aware of had it not be posted here. Thanks! Cool

Just as a note, more powerful 20v drill/impact combo platforms are routinely available from other manufacturers for $99 on sale throughout the year.

I am keeping my eye on this line from Bosch for some DYI projects that would benefit from the small, light form factor. From all the reviews I have read, this is a great drill/impact set, and if a set of smaller power tools is what you are looking for, these cannot be beat. Good size, good torque & speed.

I have these and well as a huge set of Milwaukee M18 tools. These are my 1st choice for about 80-90% of the time.

Got this from the same deal in summer, couldn't be happier. Built a play set with them. Perfect for family use. Powerful and compact. Best tools ever.

Got this and added the Skil drill bits [lowes.com] to make it 100 bucks and used the 20 off 100. Never used them before, so hopefully as per the review they should be good for home use.

This is a fantastic set. As others have mentioned, I use this as my go-to for 80% of tasks. The point of this is not that you can get a 18V Ryobi for the same price, but that it's COMPACT. It's perfect for electrical work, (dis)assemy and a whole lot more. It fits really well in my hands and the clutch works reliably and predictably. It's well built, especially considering the price, but even if you don't...

That said, I bought 2 of these kits at 79 bucks. While I'm not one of those 'was cheaper 5 years ago11!1' types, I can almost guarantee you someone (probably including the big A) is going to do this for 79 bucks again before you can say 'it's December'. (Read: BF).

So, product 14/10, would buy again, deal is pretty lukewarm and more like a Jim Lahey 6/10 (RIP John).

Just a quick update. I went back to Lowe's today and they let me open up another one at the Customer Service desk to see if there's any difference with my aforementioned flaw. The impact driver had just as much chuck wobble as my previous kit but the drill was noticeably smoother! To me that's where it matters most as I some times use lengthy drill bits so I went ahead with the exchange. So there is a bit of a variance for those fellow cherry pickers out there. Happy Hunting.

If we are talking about the same coupon, it says it must be a full priced item. Would this qualify?

Edit: paid for the coupon and worked flawlessly. Thanks OP
