Correct me if i am wrong but i went up to the q80 on Rtings and none of them support 120hz @4k - what TV's would support that and what are the advantages / future proofing?
Thanks
I personally don't know of any 4k 120hz native resolution TVs at the moment. If they do exist, they won't be anywhere near this price point.

Whenever I see these "scuffed box" items I always think about those Facebook scam posts "hi, Samsung can't sell theses TVs because the boxes are scuffed, share and like to get yours!"

Better than the 2019 TCL 6 series?

TCL 6 is 60 hz panel and this is 120hz panel. I think that might be a big difference. PROS can comment on it.
Not as good as TCL 6 series 2018 or 2019, refresh rate might be higher, but it's EDGE lit not backlit and no local dimming and doesn't get bright enough for real HDR, so I guess it might depend on what you want the TV for, but since it's not backlit with local dimming it doesn't really compare with TCL 6 series or other backlit and local dimming models (aside from the TCL's having panel issues so you might have to return a few to get one without problems).

$811 (65") and $1229 (75") on Amazon, I believe.

(sorry, that's for refurbished/renewed).

I may jump on this... But explain this scuffed box thing to me. If you ordered a regular one, and the box was scuffed, would you care? What's the catch with these?

I love reading these tv threads. There are 100 problems with each and every tv deal posted.

If you're concerned about best in-class reliability and cutting edge tech, then price isn't your main concern. Take a trip to the Sony Store or grab a top of the line LG OLED from Best Buy.

If you're looking for the best value, or just want a nice looking tv without spending $2,500 or more then this one should do just fine.

As for the rest of us, for the love of Sweet Baby Jesus, just answer the question, is it a good deal or not?

Samsung has Unilateral Pricing Policies where authorized sellers aren't allowed to sell below a preset price.
This is Buydig's way to get around that. Likewise Fry's offers 'promo code' discounts and or just advertises as 'Name Brand Seller'.
TCL has been beating Samsung in sales numbers recently, so these retailers gotta do Something to get them sold.

Looks a good deal. I have the 82" NU8000 which is the 2018 version of this TV and I have no complaints. It does not compare to OLED which I also have, but I do game on my NU8000 and the TV in Game mode handles PS4 Pro and Xbox One X gaming very well. HDR looks good on the games, blacks aren't reference quality, but if you want that get an OLED.
