So slightly off topic but still relevant to this thread. Cautionary tale..... I bought one of these AMD codes on Ebay from a guy. Amd makes you download a utility now called the AMD Product Verification Tool, and it scans your system for the relevant hardware based on the code you get? And while I do have a R7 2700X, which is eligible for 1 game, the ebay guy sold me the 2 game code... and I could NOT redeem it. It kept saying "a qualifying AMD product was not detected in your system. Please install the qualifying AMD product and try again". So I am assuming by this that the seller bought a R7 3800x (or better) and the code he got and sold me didn't match my R7 2700x. So now I'm in the process of resolving that issue, I was bummed I really wanted to play BL3 last night.

So just be aware that if you intend to sell these codes, get ready for some heartburn and anguish. Actually just don't bother selling the codes.

Now I'm trying to convince myself I need to upgrade to a 3800x even though I know I don't....

Question for anyone in the know... I bought an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X at Microcenter on the 28th. That unfortunately was right before this promo came out. Can I download the validation tool etc and still get a free game?

I bought the 2700x from Micro Center yesterday. I don't game, so if anybody wants to buy the code for the free game including the Xbox Game pass, send me a private message. As per the AMD promotion description, you need to have:

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X/3900X
AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
AMD Ryzen 7 2700
As long as you have one of these, your system will qualify.

looking forward to this game on the 25th on Xbox S. I don't have a PC that can run this. Hoping upscale and HDR do the trick. The Outer Worlds Will Only Be Enhanced On Xbox One X, Not PS4 Pro
