Processor is $185 on Newegg, $220 for the video card (which is overpriced for 6GB), $35 for the RAM, $80 for both storage drives combined. That's $520.

Add in a cheap case and PSU. Copy of windows 10 Home. Brings you to about this total. So, free motherboard. LOL And free assembly of course.

10 years ago I built partially because I didn't want bloatware slowing everything down. Will the Windows 10 "Fresh Start" eliminate this concern nowadays or is that still a perk of building a rig over prebuilt?

Not to mention you'd be crazy to pay 185 for a 9400. And you should really have 16 GB of RAM.
