I suspect that these are almost certainly going to be off-lease (in other words, used) computers. The "refurbishing" is probably going to involve making sure that the systems boot, then they will securely wipe the drive and put a new OS on the drive and put a new Windows certificate of authenticity sticker on.

An 18 month warranty isn't bad, but I'd wonder how they handle warranty claims. I strongly doubt that it's a Lenovo warranty, and I doubt any repairs would be with new product.

M92p systems are from about 2013, so they're pretty old, but functional systems. This isn't a horrible price for something like this, honestly. (I wouldn't pay more, though.)

My Chase Freedom card has an additional 10% back offer on purchases at Staples, which could make this an even better deal if you also have that offer. YMMV. Check the Chase app for more info.

ETA: I just read the Chase offer closer. It's 10%, but with a maximum of $6 back, so not really 10% on this offer.

I bought one for a desktop to go online, pay bills, word processing and check email, nothing extreme.
Looks like they are easy to upgrade too.
For $139 I took a chance.

This extra 10% using Freedom card you speak of, what's that about? Targeted or we all get this?

EDIT: Check your Chase Offers for one of these various deals:

Get 25%, 20%, 15%, 10%, or 5% back on your Staples purchase, up to $17.50 cash back.

Max cashback somewhere between $3.50 and $17.50, each targeted offer is different.

Basic Q: where is that $50 off staples coupon? I see the credit for starting a business account, but not a regular coupon. Thanks.

Not a bad deal. These are 3rd gen intel core i5. Also, a cool thing about these that i have done before. It is a micro atx motherboard and the io shield is removable. I have stuck these in another case with new psu and discrete graphics. You just need to be sure the temp sensor stays connected to board. Makes for a decent budget gaming pc

Anyone know How a person would know or find out what gen I5 processor these ps's use?

Edit to say yes these refurb's look to be generally from businesses that have used them kinda heavy (rode hard and put up wet so to speak). But this is the only way I can afford to get a usable pc with the rewards program. Or at least all the refurbished ones I've received from Staples appear to have been used heavy.

If you google the PC Model, they're 3rd Gen i5's.
