I wonder what ddr4 they're using on these, the cl 19 are ~15% slower than the cl 15 kits.

Maybe they'll be nice and use cl 15 on this premo model ?

15%...no at same speed, performance difference is not gonna be that much. May I know where did you find that information?

I have pretty good idea and may be better than you. Ram running at same speed, say 2666 MT but jumping from CL19 to CL15 will have 15% performance improvement is pure absurd and ultra exaggaration. I know you love to troll about tech stuffs but that's just trolling. You failed to provide any proofs of your claims of any of your posts yet.

Correction me if wrong but you won't get the 2.5" oIdrive bay kit unless you configure with HD's. You end up with 3 ssd slots. Maybe you can get an HD's kit but need a cable that costs $30.

Also, consider gong bare bones on ram and ssd, get your own at the same price as Lenovo once u apply the discount codes including Id.me. Put more money into gpu if u need it, as that is harder to replace.

Sigh.. You're at the bottom of a welll Suryasis.. You are so behind the times it's funny

I tested this myself upgrading the g5 from cl 19 to cl 15. The laptop I bought from the g5 post.

The total average memory performance improvement is ~15%, same 2666mhz, different timings

You need to learn to not mouth off about things you don't understand, it just confuses people.
LMAO

I've checked tons of reviews in Anandtech, Tomshardware and all other reputed sites and myself did it my Desktop. In Synthetic benchmarks, sure. In any real world applications, gaming, Adobe Premiere pro, Video encoding, it hardly goes 6% at best. Run some benchmarks which emulate real world scenarios like PCmark, 3dmark, Cinebench and may be one gaming benchmark and let me know how big is the difference is and if it is anywhere near that 15%.

What do you mean by 3 SSD slots? It has 2x M.2 2280 and one 2.5" bay and you'll always get that. What you're saying is that they won't provide the 2.5" bracket for HDD if you don't configure it with a 2.5" storage.

Ok sure, so now I'd recommend also adding reading comprehension to your list of needed self-help.

Where in my Original post, did I say anything about games / Adobe / Encoding.

My post specifically said, < I wonder if they're using cl 15 ram, cl 19 is ~15% slower than cl 15 >

Keep your biases to yourself please.
Peace

Again, using huge fonts does not make your remarks any better. Looks like your content being garbage is proportional with your posts' Font size.

15% better on what? Did you mention anything about running AIDA 64? What you mentioned basically means that a CL15 ram is 15% faster than a CL19 ram in general...which is completely misleading. Rather than lecturing me, you should learn about how to convey your message properly. Probably this is the 1st time you could provide a proof of your claim.. misleading but at least something.
And one thing, running AIDA 64 does not make you understand how computer works. It needs a lots of study, practical experience and other things which I know I have. You may be self proclaimed how-computer-work King in your imaginary world, but reality is a bit harsh.

It is commonly know that these Intel cpu are not that sensitive to memory speed or memory latency beyond what they were specced for. Better latency at a given speed always helps for the perceived snapiness of the system and in memory intensive workflows where the size of the memory might matter more than it's speed

Yes if you want to squeeze the extra little ooomph of your config, be my guest. Definitely in the diminishing returns caregory.

Better aim for better GPU or cpu
