From what I've seen, you definitely pay a slight premium for a 2-in-1 so if you just want a laptop you can probably find similar specs for less money or better specs for the same money or not much more. I'm going the other way, I've had laptops for many years now but I see where something convertible would be handy often enough to make me want my next laptop to have that functionality.

Got one in silver last time around. Has two SO-DIMM slots, 1 extra SATAIII and M.2 slot connections on the chasis (easily accessible) I upgrades to MX500 1tb ssd and had random shutdowns. Fixed by turning off power link in Intel Rapid Storage Menu. Been perfect ever since. Bezel is really thick due to hinges but feel sturdy. Touch screen is accurate and works well with pen provided. Battery life is sub par but power options make it manageable. Will charge by 45W input as well as USB C power delivery. Screen is not very bright and harder to see outside but sharp. Whole system is snappy running 16G ram with system on stock M.2 drive which is fast. Keys feel pretty shallow but I got used to it and love it now. Integrated graphics are crap Can get hot as many laptops do. Bunch of connection options make it very well rounded. Good buy at $520 and is a great mid level to mid level laptop and can punch above it weight when tested but would be more worth it at $480-$500 if had to buy again. I love mine.

Tempted to pull the trigger on this. Trying to figure out how good the keyboard+trackpad and screen are.

Does anyone know if this stacks with any types of staples coupons?

I don't need a tablet - just a laptop. Is it a waste to get this?

I got a similar Dell for my wife in June from Staples, it's a fantastic laptop, very fast, great screen. Highly recommend it.

Got the i7 version at this price during an Outlet sale. Use it daily and enjoy it much. Screen isn't anything to write home about, but decent battery life. Big heads up though; the keys are quite squishy. Works perfect for my tastes as I touch type in a classroom and need softer / quiet keys, but if you go crazy without enough tactile feedback, you won't be a fan of this machine.

Also, compared to previous Inspiron's I've used, this one feels a bit bulkier. Not a drawback or a freakish change or anything. Just surprised me a bit taking it out of the box.

Looking at the generic manual doesn't show PD/Power Delivery

So i'm sure if staples is wrong or the dell manual ???

Anyone with this exact model know for sure??
