Very warm deal. I got mine last year for $49 before bonus cash back. Also, one can get a FireTV 4K stick for $25 today.

Comcast has just started offering Xfinity Flex (which is like Roku) for free to Comcast Internet-only customers. Soon many of these devices will be very cheap to free.
No such thing as free with Comcrap, you have to lease their xFi Gateway to qualify and will be missing a lot of apps.

Check your local Walmart as they were selling off the Roku Ultra for just $59 recently

Competition is the point and Roku and others will have no choice but to lower price substantially. Roku, as a company, makes most of their money from advertisements and commissions. They want more people to have these devices at whatever cost.

Many of these come with discounts/30 day free trials/gift cards in the box.

My Ultra came with 30 day trials of showtime, hbo, cinemax and epix. 30 days a pop was more than enough to watch everything I was interested in on those. A premier (I think) I bought was $29 and came with a $25 Sling credit I could use on my existing account.

No disney+ with firetv products, and I got tired of amazon peeing on everyones shoes by not carrying other vendors products. Roku seems vendor neutral at this time, but their expansions of the roku channel may threaten some content providers by submarining their brand under the roku app. As we've seen, content providers want to stream their content to you directly, with their app, under their brand.

Roku UI is not much better. In addition, one can side load many apps on FireTV but not Roku. I have Shield, but I still use FireTV more often.

Roku will be fine, with all the wars between google/amazon/apple, it's nice to be the in the neutral position and have access to all the apps.

too lazy to google so forgive me for asking. but does it support hlg and dolby vision playback.
No dolby vision
Get an Apple TV 4K for that

HLG....If I recall correctly...is only a broad cast format used by Direct TV..and others
