I have this model... Have used it for around 3 years and it works just fine for your average home owner. Powerful enough to get through .5" limbs. This is just about the same price I paid, so I'd say it's a great price!

I had a corded one before, its a pain to keep track of the cord so you dont cut it.

Good deal, but I looked on Offer Up before purchasing this. Found a like new cordless Black & Decker w/ battery (edger that i have is the same) for $20. Frugal is frugal.

Yeah, I finally had to buy a cordless one because I got tired of splicing the extension cord. Other people must be a lot more coordinated and aware than I am.

What happened with ivy? I have tons that needs to be cut and debating between a steel blade weed whacker or a hedge trimmer.

For bushes, this hedge trimmer best. If just clearing brush etc, then a weed wacker trimmer with or without attachment is best.

I used an extension cord version for years (but I do admit I chopped a cord once)... Then I thought the battery version would be very convenient. I bought one and gave my corded one away. I have regretted that since because my batteries die and the job takes much longer because I have to recharge batteries two or three times. If you only have a few bushes, then you're prob good... Otherwise, I'd get this or would get a gas one. I'm getting this...can't beat the price.
