I wonder if you can stack the $10 (per 5qt jug, max of 2) rebate from Pennzoil: https://www.pennzoil.com/en_us/pr...on-14.html

If not, then this is only really a deal if you need it ASAP and/or have already done the Pennzoil rebate for the current period. If you haven't done the Pennzoil rebate, I'd (personally) go with the Ultra Platinum for $1 more from Walmart (currently $26.97 - $10 rebate = $16.97): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pennzo...t/55291207

@rczrider. I don't believe Pennzoil has Walmart listed in its current promotion. If Walmart is not listed Pennzoil will not honor the rebate, I just learned that the hard way.

I wanted to check SD to see what people were doing in regards to the new Pennzoil rebate. When I ordered my Ultra Platinum last year, Wal Mart wasn't listed as a participating retailer. People were doing the rebate anyways, and would get them (as did I).

But this time, the web site clearly states "Only retailers shown here qualify." And I don't recognize any of the companies on that list.

FititDaddy, so you tried submitting a rebate from a non-participating retailer and were denied?

The last Pennzoil deal with a rebate I see that worked ended on 6/30/19, so I'm curious if anyone else sucessfully got one since then.

Above is correct. I was denied for "non-participating retailer". Pennzoil is getting real picky now. I will be buying other brands, plenty of other Great motor oils out there.

Thanks. I had been using M1 Extended Performance for 5 years, and recently switched to Pennzoil Platinum for one oil change interval. I'm coming up on 10K miles soon, so I probably needa buy some in the next month or two.

At first I didn't like it, but I've gotten pretty good gas mileage this summer, but that could be because I've been driving a lot of highway.

I dunno if I like constantly changing oil types though. My next OCI will either be Pennzoil Platinum, M1 EP, or Castrol Edge Extended Performance.

Car is starting to use a tiny bit of oil, but not really worth worrying about. I'm talking like half a quart over 10K+ miles.

Mobil 1 had a nice rebate that expired on September 30th. Annoyed I missed it.

Not sure what vehicle you drive but I drive Toyota. I almost exclusively use Toyota oil unless there's a great rebate. I got burned on the last rebate with Pennzoil so I'm going back to Toyota oil which I'm sure is not made by Toyota but has the exact additives Toyota recommends.

I drive a Honda Civic. Not an expert on Toyota, but based on what I've read, motor oil is the only fluid that really doesn't matter about getting OEM. Synthetics come in grades I-IV I believe.

However, I did hear that there's some new 0w16 weight for newer cars. I'm just looking for an extended drain synthetic for the best price. I only change my oil once a year, or once every 10-12K miles.
