Fyi. This is a "1080p" monitor.

This is the exact resolution I want. Hope they pump out a few more options to bring the prices down. I've only ever seen the expensive Samsung, and recently the Dell version. Never heard of this brand, though, but glad they are creating some competition.

First person I have ever heard say 1080p is the exact resolution they want.

1440p ultrawides are more money and even more money for the hardware needed to run at a steady high fps. Idk why everyone is so taken aback when someone says they want 1080p

But most of those people still want 1440p or 4k, but settle on 1080p for the cost aspect. No one ever claims 1080p is the exact resolution they want.

1080p height is notoriously 'short' for anything productivity related. So much screen real estate is occupied by horizontal UI features (taskbars, window headers, menus, etc). In many cases you're looking at about 25% of your 1080p vertical height consumed by your taskbar + window frame + menu.

To be fair, nobody is going to say "YES! This monitor is what my budget allows!"

I think this is a great resolution. You get the widescreen real estate at a resolution a decent gpu can drive at good frame rates. Who needs a 4k freesync monitor that you can only run at 40fps. I think this would be better for gaming than a 1440p widescreen. And its 144hz not that lame 75hz.

That is pretty much how every monitor/TV/PC/car/house/ect decisions are made and Ive seen many people specifically post comments in various threads looking for the best monitor/TV in a certain price range. The one thing I have never seen here is anyone going into a monitor or TV thread and saying "1080p is the exact resolution I want".

This is still the exact resolution I want lol. As others have said, driving 4k resolutions for gaming just degrades fps too much to me. I don't have 1k to spend on a rtx 2080, settled on 2060. 3820x1080 is perfect for me. Of course with no budget limit, I would shoot for the moon, but I don't "need" that. This resolution is perfect, need more options. Smilie
