I received an email today about returning customers getting 40% off for 3 month....and their website shows the offer in the top banner as well.


The Usual Fine Print:
Offer valid from October 7, 2019 12:00AM PT until October 13, 2019 at 11:59PM PT for U.S. customers only. Offer applies only to an Audible Gold monthly membership sold by audible.com. For the first 3 months of your Audible membership, you will be charged the discounted price of $8.95/mo. After the first 3 months, your Audible membership will continue until cancelled at the then current full price (currently $14.95/mo.)

Having a problem getting this to work. After confirming payment details and clicking "start now", it shows me the error: "We are sorry! We can not complete this purchase"

Guess I'm not the only one. I even added a new credit card and no dice. When is amazon gonna wise up and lower the cost to $9.99/mo or less

I also had the error that everyone else is as well. I let the browser rest on the page for a bit and tried again and it went through this time. Best of luck all.

I was in the processing of cancelling my subscription after my 1 free month. I got an offer of 3 months at $7.95 so I took it. Then I will cancel for another few months until another offer comes along.

They don't really have any competition. So probably not any time soon. Also $15 for an audio book is not bad.

Saw your comment and hesitated about 2 minutes in Mobile Safari while then staring at the wall. Decided to submit and it went through with no issue. Maybe the site is expecting the applicant to read all that print about how they intend to charge. I dunno but thanks! I cancelled Audible last month, actually had them take back two credits I hadn't used which they refunded promptly (discovered they were charging me $14.95/month instead of the promo I had of $8.95 for three months). Looks like that reset something and just saw the correct charge go through for the first month/credit for this promo.
