Can anyone speak to the quality? Is it super-artifact ridden compressed SD or acceptable to upconvert SD?
I went ahead and got it, and watched the first episode. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It definitely looks like a more recent scan or codec because there was pretty good black levels with good gray gradation. It was sharp (perhaps artificially sharpened) with pretty good details for an old show in standard definition.

Same. I maybe just talking out of my ass but I feel like a lot of the older stuff shot on film converts better.

nice, found it on Prime, I have a thing for Tish. I had some of those Uncle Fester lightbulbs from Disneyland in the sixties

Pluto TV has a new dedicated Adams Family channel. 24/7 adams family.
We watch Pluto TV with Vizio's WatchFREE and it has ads. Will pay $10 to avoid ads and own it.

Isn't season 1 and season 2 free on prime? Is this different?

Possible reboot on the horizon, cash in on nostalgia, try and get newer people exposed to it. The original series started in 196x so it's copyright may be falling off soon.

What is it with the digital retro shows lately? And on FP all the time? I've seen Adams Family, The Munsters, My Favorite Martian... eh I forget the last one, they all blend together in my mind. Did some TV studio just open the vault or something? This is all in the last week or 3.

Who'd be dumb enough to do that, $5 more to own all of it is a much better deal.

Addams family were smug, high brow and pretentious. The Munsters were silly and fun.

This same thing is $25 on DVD. This should be normal price for digital. You'd have to be out of your mind to pay $127 on this.

If you consider having access to a download or stream "owning." Also if you have Prime and buy stuff frequently, you rack up loads of digital credits. So that $5 isn't actually $5 in that case.
