To the people saying this is 100 more, the same model card in the 2070 super variant is 530. Is it worth 70 dollars more? You be the judge.

When I'm paying $500+ for something, the cost of an extra $100 for a top end model doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, I look at settling for a 2070 Super at $500 as a complete waste of money. $500 is not chump change. If you are going to spend that much and the top tier model is available just for a $100 more, you always go for that. The only time you don't is when you have a hard budget. That is totally understandable. I don't care for the percentages either. Sure, it is 20% more. But that doesn't tell you the whole story.

Or just think of it this way. 2070 Super at $500 is too much. You should wait for a deal on it. $400 or maybe $450 is what you should aim for. Or just look for an 1080Ti as mentioned below.

Hi guys, own a 1070ti, would this be a decent upgrade? Or just wait all this out until the ampere release next year?

By that logic wouldn't the 2080 be a waste of money when you can get a 2080 Super for $100 more than a 2080? Where does it end?

NAVI 12 is imminent and will be cheaper. Wait until Black Friday.
HDMI implementation remains HDMI 2.0 with Navi, that's lame. For those owning the 2019 LG OLED models, this means that you'll have to wait until 2020 for HDMI 2.1 sources. Those should include GPUs released by Nvidia/AMD next year as well as the next Xbox/Playstation (which have both promised 4k@120 support, if only in the interface).

I would wait for ampere. I also have a 1070ti, and it does everything I want right now. Ampere will be both a process shrink and architecture improvement. Plus they will be competing better on price with AMD.

Yea you're right. I think it's just instant gratification. Like you mentioned, the 1070ti does pretty well with 1440!

A lot of people are speculating that the higher end ampere will be a bit cheaper than Turing. Hope they're right lol.

No it wouldn't. That is $200 over $500 so that becomes personal choice. An extra $100 to get the 2080 from the $500 2070 Super makes sense but not $200 extra for the 2080 Super.

Pretty much right there. The 2080 ti would be the next step up... and that goes for 1000-1300 retail... which would be nearly double the price.

Lame. Used 1080ti with warranty is the way to go. 3 fan versions with warranty are Regularly going for $450-500 on eBay or r/hardwareswap. Picked up my evga card used with 2 years of warranty in that range. Saved $200 over a 2080 and it still outperforms the 2070 super.

Are there even any good games that take advantage of these graphics cards? Like all I keep hearing about is micro transactions and games being ruined by greedy developers.
