^the rebate card is $30 for those wondering how big a risk you're taking relying on that coming in.

How do you get down to 599? Is the deal dead? shows 681 before the 30 dollar rebate.. oh...tax killed it....
There is another code for 130 off.

SDers weren't too keen on the RTX 2080 the last time it came around for $600.

I'll reiterate the question we had last time. Where's the value over a 2070 Super for $100 less?

Yeah the margin between a 2070 super and this is negligent right? Plus the Asus dual evo, Asia dual, and Asus dual advanced 2080s are all at 600 as well.

The 2080 is slightly faster.

You'd be paying 20% more for about 6% performance gain.

a bit off topic....i usually get my computer parts with great discounts from ebay. has anyone notice that they are charging taxes for pretty much every item? i live in california. I just notice that taxes were included even when the seller is from a different state.

Massachusetts did this recently as well. The tax free internet is over.

High end always has diminishing returns value-wise. However I agree with the sentiment that it's not worth it.

IIRC October 1st the new tax obligations are in effect (new fiscal year). I quickly googled and this page had a pretty good summary: https://www.avalara.com/us/en/blo...-2019.html

That said, lukewarm at best. I got my 2080 last black Friday for $650 and the only reason I got it was because 1080 Ti stock had dried up and I needed a new graphics card for a new build. The high end graphics segment has been disappointing since the 1080 Ti.

Was thinking for getting 2070 Super to possibly upgrade 1070 OC how much of a actual gain in 4K single player only games I'm expecting? Anyone done this or jumped to 2080, what are your actual experiences?
