I have this phone (unlocked ATT model, but the same hardware).

It's great. The battery life gets me through the day easy, the cameras are awesome- the wide angle is very nice as well. I should note that there's a very noticeable crop when you shoot video with electronic stabilization. I know that's necessary, but it's more significant than you might expect. The stabilization works great though.

Always on display, nice front facing camera, great ergonomics, no camera bump.

Just get a case- I hear the glass is fragile.

I got this phone last time. I have it and use it in conjunction with a Pixel 3 XL and compare it to the S8+ that I previously used. I also have a PH-1 with all sorts of issues.

I use this on ATT, but I don't think that the signal is as good on this version as on my S8+. It might be that it's the T-mobile version and doesn't have the complete bands for ATT, thought my reading of the bands were that it has all the common bands that ATT would use. Generally not a problem, but my one critique is that its cell and wifi antennas aren't as good as my S8+. The wifi signal on 5 ghz is definitely worse than the other 2 phones.

Overall the phone is nice and quick with very good battery life. The camera is better than the S8+ but noticeably worse (but still very good overall) than the Pixel 3 XL, specifically it's much slower. Face unlock is very nice and works, but I do notice that I tend to use the fingerprint reader out of habit. Having no ear speaker means speakerphone isn't the best, and music playing from the "display" speaker is tin-y and not broad or full. A plugged in headset makes everything sound great with it's higher quality DACs.Games are super fast with no stutter, both my Pixel 3 XL and S8+ will stutter on a game that I play.

The 2 screen protectors I've tried struggled. First one had a black border which cut off some of the screen. The second one is 3 weeks old and has 3-4 chips along the edges, it's a slightly curved screen.

I can't access the ebay site at work, but the one I got was supposed to be new but its tamper proof stickers were broken. The phone though was untouched and perfectly new. I think I saw a youtube video or two where headphones and a case were included, in my box they were not.

The description mentions that they've opened the box to unlock the phone.

Insane how much the Pixel 3A release has dropped the price of these less popular flagship phones. For my money, I would definitely get the Pixel 3A (currently $350 at Best Buy) but if you want a G8 this seems like a pretty great deal.

Sorry, I think I forgot to mention that since I can't see the ebay site from work, I couldn't check if it was the same vendor. The last vendor I bought it from, I didn't notice if it said that or not. If so, I missed it (but I am using the phone and like it a lot regardless).

Wish LG release same model phones with the same hardware like Samsung. You can buy an unlocked Samsung phone from any carrier and flash another carrier's firmware to get full features like wifi calling, etc. For LG you are stuck with the carrier specific functions.

Pixel 3A waste of money , it not even close to regular Pixel 3 ...
I see what you mean - there are a lot of ways that the 3 is superior to to 3A, but for me the 3A's headphone jack makes it a better phone overall. Don't have to shell out for expensive bluetooth headphones that (usually) sound worse, you have to keep charged, and you might lose. Build quality is still pretty solid, definitely a few tradeoffs but for me at least it's worth it.

if you're looking at a G8, one of the flagships that still has one, the 3A is definitely another phone you should consider.

From a the reviews I've read. It's doesn't have as much processing power. Camera quality is just a tab bit lower than the pixel 3. But it wins in battery life. So for those that don't need much processing power, basically a mid range phone with the close to photo quality of a pixel 3, a pixel 3a is an option.
