This is the cheapest I've seen in quite a while for a Tiger brand rice cooker made in Japan.

Seems pretty nice and the price is great for a 5.5-cup unit... this should be getting more love...

I believe the regular price in-store is $89.99. Somebody can confirm tomorrow if they also have the instant $25 off.

Don't know when they will have this in stock in-store. I found one last weekend in store without a price tag. Obviously just an exhibit but not for sale.

seems like an obvious question but hows this compare to zojirushi? The one I had looked similar to this model. Loved it but it failed on me after a couple years.

At this price if it should die in a couple years I won't mind, the zojirushi was nearly twice as much on sale.

5.5 cups is that the biggest cooker? any of you seem ones higher than that? looking for like 10 cups if they make one like that.

They do have instant pot/pressure cooker that's 8 quarts, that also cook rice but how are those anyone ever used those? looking for a pressure cooker/ricer cooker.

I have all three sizes... 3 cup, 5.5 cup and 10 cup... the 10 cup is too big and rarely used... we use the 3 cup regularly (perfect for a family of 4)... I think the 5.5 cup is the best overall size for most (unless you cook for like 10 people regularly)...

The pressurized cookers are nice, but they won't do oatmeal... that's a deal breaker for us - we make oatmeal all the time... just something to consider. ..
