Awl yeah it's back!

Amazon [amazon.com] has the Clover Tapered Awl (White) for $ 2.24 or less with S&S
NLA

Walmart [walmart.com] also has it for the same price

4.9 out of 5 stars on 38 reviews.

See previous +72 FP thread for some punny jokes.

This is very useful in punching holes in leather and fabrics, pulling out corners and widening out spaces.

So I can put holes in the belt from this?
Yes but it's better to use s leather punch that will cut a hole in the leather instead of push it to the side. I believe I read that in the other thread or in the questions on the product page.

So why would i need this? Any suggestions?
Also good when you need to drill on wood, for making a center point on the workpiece. It keeps the drill bit from deviating.

When I was splicing an eye into my anchor rope the other day, but a small screwdriver sufficed to separate the strands to make the loops.

Yes

I presume because of the number of votes from the community. Same for the last thread (rated +74). I don't know how to sew or do any other needlework and I bought it (and posted it) because it's an incredibly versatile american-made tool that costs 2 dollars and change.
