Agreed, under no circumstance would I ever recommend one of these to someone. The main pad has like 4 stitched slots for the harness to come through and food sticks there. The knobs on the sides, food sticks there. Underneath the main pad, tons of food under there. When our child got to be about 18 months we started using a simple formed plastic seat that straps to your normal dining room chairs. I can wipe that thing down in 15 seconds. I hope every single one of these Chicco models burn in hell.

Surprised to hear the people complaining about cleaning it. I take the blue pad off drag the the entire high chair to my patio and hose it off, usually once a week, let it dry in the sun and it's brand new again.

Or a townhouse, or a first floor condo with a patio, or a duplex, triplex, fourplex. Lots of places have patios with hoses.

I tried all kind of expensive high chair and hit all kind of issues. Hard to clean, not sturdy enough and such.

Ended up with the $20 one from ikea. Simple and works great.

The ikea one seems too lightweight and flimsy
