I have one of these. It's a POS.
Really why? Those fins spin and blow air?

That was before I got a new HVAC system. Maybe there was a problem with leaky ducts. Haven't had a problem with dust ever since. But the fan did collect a lot of dust and it was washed monthly. The fan was quiet when new, but after a year it got loud. I like my Dyson fan best.
Well, A Dyson fan is $300. This Fan is $10. Imagine you get the same cooling + $290 in your pocket! lol JK. Different strokes sir.

Had two of these die on me from the last deal.
Not the Honeywells! They were too young...taken from us too soon. RIP

Could anyone with experience comment on how loud these are?
I have one running next to me right now. It is very quiet. It is a great fan for home or office. Did some research before I bought it a couple of years ago and it runs 24/7 half the year, no problem. Buy with confidence.

Great fan. Bought one a few years ago and ran it all night for years.

Hmm... just checked BS and the Neighborhood Markets around me have them priced at $7 in-store. The one I currently have has been fine and alright... I've only had it for about a year. Maybe I'll pick up another one.

Loud but works great for small areas and able to move around easily. I always get a few of these when they were on sale. My amazon acct showed I paid 8.36 back in June 15, 2017, and it's still working pretty well.

I bought three of these for the house a few years ago. They were OK for a year, but loud. One was tossed the first year. We kept the second about a year longer, and lived with the incresing noise. The third one would not turn much at all on the low setting, and was slow on the high setting. I suspect bad motor windings or bearings. All three have been junked.

Either way, these are junk, and possibly a fire hazzard. IMO.

Collects too much dust. Only bladeless fans from now on.
Never seen a blade less fan before, even squirrel cage fans have blades

Dyson fans hide the blade, they don't magically move air without propulsion. The blade is hidden in the "stem" of the fan. If you want to clean a fan quick and easy, take it outside and hit it with a few blasts from an air compressor (air compressor needed).

Bought this deal exactly two years ago, running in my backoffice most of day during the summer time to increase the airflow.

It's running strong alright but this thing is loud, might be because it's old. In for a new one to replace the two year old hoping not as much noisy.

Just because you cannot see fan blades (or blower fins on some pricey models) doesn't mean they don't have them. And the more they are hidden, the harder they are to clean.

to clean the fan, the 6 screws are hidden on the back along the circular edge
