Tempted to get the 24-can but think I might save $20 and get this one from Costco instead:

Camp Zero Carry All Backpack Cooler [costco.com]

Thoughts?

Personally, I prefer the backpack due to easy of carry. Fully loaded, 25L is pretty heavy. This pack from costco though looks to be a different insulation thickness so I suspect ice wont last as long. Maybe rated 24hr vs the 48hr of this pelican. So it depends on your usage.

I almost bit, but I have an Rtic retail store nearby with a scratch & dent section so I ran over to check. I ended up getting the Rtic Soft Pack, 40 can, for $96+tax! It is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. They're also have a sale online, no code needed. https://www.rticcoolers.com/shop/...ack-40-Tan

I will bet you a million dollars this pelican will only slightly hold a temperature better than a Walmart brand...it's foam and an enclosure...there's no new tech. Get over yourself. I get radioactive temperature sensitive materials and it's shipped in a styrofoam box. You're buying because of their name and the fame they got from their hard case. Other branded hard case are just as good. Even HF is almost at their level. You're paying $100 more for about a 0.1% difference.
Having owned both items I can tell you your assumption is incorrect. I got maybe four hours out of my Ozark Trail 24 can, and got a day and a half out of my Pelican 24 can, exact same conditions. At this price I'd buy the Pelican over the walmart for sure.

I'll PM you my address to send that million dollars to.

I don't like the zipper on these, doesn't work very well.

Also watch out for this company. I bought a couple on the last deal for resale. They threaten you with legal action for trying to sell their product. Ridiculous! Terrible company!

I read the same comment you left on another Pelican deal. Do you just search these out so you can troll them?

for those that are new to coolers.....just dont be expecting 5 days . This is more function and light weightness....

And the post about zippers is spot on....

Yeti, Pelican, they include a small packet of -LUBE- that is part of maintenance for these zippers.

Yea I know I was in the right and they were in the wrong. But still if they are going to use their company lawyer to harass me, it isn't worth fighting that battle.

Your reply is nothing but snark. Is there anything quantifiable that makes this cooler better? Or worth the price? Or do you just buy things because they are expensive
You buy them for the quaulity. These will last longer and outperfform other products

In the case of the Yeti the lube mostly is for use elsewhere for being dumb enough to pay that much for it. I got one as a gift. It's a good cooler for what it is but really not all that. Marketing is a beautiful thing.

This looks just as good or better made and a better price.

I did not see his comment on another thread, and did here. I for one am grateful for the feedback, I found it helpful.

Looks like the soft coolers aren't US made. They are made in China. Only the hard coolers are made in USA.
Wow thanks for catching that!
