I picked up Dandara, which is a tough but highly rated Metroidvania style platformer.

I can vouch for the Kathy Rain game IF you like old school point and click adventures.

I actually finished the whole game and that very rarely happens these days.

I believe it's a fairly modern game, but feels (intentionally I think) like it comes straight out of 1998.

Am intrigued. Let's see if I can dig up a gift card somewhere... hope it works well with PS4 controller + iOS 13!

The first 2 are, but Danara is not at all a point-and-click adventure game.

Love point and click games from the 90's. LucasArts and Sierra PC games were so good. I spent countless hours playing the Indiana Jones series with my cousin. It felt like your in control of the character in the movie. Loved them because those games involved humor and wittiness too.

Is poopsnack's comment related to this thread at all, or is it really just him celebrating the thought of a poop snack?

Yes, me too! If you weren't aware, they have Gabriel Knight 1 on mobile too, updated and very nicely done. Grim Fandango as well, but it never worked for me (and discovered that too late to return it).

On the PC, they remastered Day of the Tentacle as well as at least the first of the Monkey Islands.

I've also found The Longest Journey/Dreamfall/Dreamfall: Chapters series to be an excellent continuation of the genre, with really fleshed out storylines.

If you (or anyone else) has/have any good recommendations, I'd love to hear them. TIA!
