I do not know if a difference between G1 model and this "G" model at Sams.
If the same TV, the price is lowest I've seen.

Hmm the model # seems right, but the title doesn't specify its the Quantum X version.

I like this TV either from Sams or Costco, should I wait for a lower price in November?

I'm honestly not sure if I'd expect to see a price drop for Black Friday. I see this sale expiring and then likely coming back down to same price for Black Friday. Just looking at actual prices from most retailers, this is already quite low. I would never buy a TV from Best Buy but this is already $200 below Best Buy. If you are ready to buy, I would just do it. Buy it at Costco, watch the price over the next 30 days in case price drops for a price match. Costco is usually really good at price adjustments.

I'd wait... what's the rush when we're this close to BF. It's a good deal, not a slickdeal

I think you're right. Just purchased this from Costco for the same price last weekend. Can't wait for it to be delivered tomorrow!

Got the 75" for around $1700 from Sam's. The menu response is a bit slow like reviews mention but other than that we really like it.

Rtings gave Samsung a 8.7 and the Vizio an 8.5. Samsung has some better gaming features but no Dolby Vision. The Vizio supports Dolby Vision. You're gonna have to read some reviews to decide yourself. Rtings buys one tv and judges it and they specifically state panels can vary slightly so just because one tv shows a slightly better picture than another testing another two of the same tv may give different results. At the higher end you need to decide for hdmi 2.1 or Dolby vision is more important to you. Or the better up scaling from one manufacturer.

I whole heartily recommend this TV. I purchased the P659-G1 version from best buy for 1100. To be honest this TV is pretty close to as good as the QLED Samsung Q series. When I compared them back and forth the only thing I really noticed was the display screen flaring seemed a bit richer on the Q series Samsung. To be honest, for 98% of our regular watching you won't even notice the slightly richer "bloom" some of the effects on the Samsung had. For double the price of the Q series I can live without it easy. Much better value in the Vizio P series line.
