This "limited-time eBay-only" deal has been $40 in the past, but still a great deal. A year of service and 3GB data for $45. 1200 minutes and 1200 texts too.

$49.99 minus 10% off with code POWERTEN on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tracfone...3448464240

Yes, this is the total that you get for a year. No, you don't get 3GB data every month. This is for light users. If you need additional data, you can get top-up pins that add 1GB for $10. You can get Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile service.

The great thing about Tracfone is that the data, minutes, and texts carry over as long as you have the line active. So if your usage is sporadic (some months when you don't need it, and then a month when you're traveling and need the service), this is for you. We use it to have Verizon service when we're traveling.

If you also need a phone, the Moto e5 is a great choice. $64 on eBay with the coupon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tracfone...9025106228

Comes with a year of service but only 1200MB data.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

For real. It was totally unclear. I agree it appears to be 365 days to use all the data and minutes.
"A year of service".....right there when the OP posted it.

I don't believe this has been asked (or stated), so does Tracfone service include Hotspot from the smartphone? And WIFI calling?

As usual no one is reading.

A quick search on SD for Tracfone shows several other threads for this deal going back to May & every possible question has been answered already.

The HSN deal is $7 more than this ebay deal. But the HSN deal has more minutes/texts/data than this ebay deal.
The HSN page says 1500 MB of data. That's half of this.

I've tried via two different ebay accts and pp accts to no avail.
When I contact ebay they are blaming the listing

Not really. One old one mentioned tethering, but not hotspot. Otherwise, it's still a mystery to me.

Can I add this to an existing phone number?
https://support.tracfone.com/expr...on/1650370
Can I bring my own phone number?
Yes. You may transfer your telephone number from another company to TracFone online. To port in your existing telephone number to your TracFone, the number you are porting must be active with your current service provider.

Please forgive my ignorance all but I'm both brand new at commenting and engaging on the forum (been a casual observer for a few years), but after reading through this thread not quite sure if this would work for my situation. I'm currently postpaid free year with Sprint (ends early January) but just prior to coming to Sprint, my iPhone XR's (a1984) unlocked. Could I grab these sims for my iPhone and start fresh with this deal? I'm under the impression that the XR has most of the bands available to move between carriers? Please go easy on me here. Thanks!

I fully read it, but initially took the yearly note to refer to the plan lifetime only, not the refresh interval as well. There have been many plans lately that are for a full year that have monthly allowances.

The bigger clue is the price: $45/year isn't a 3GB/month price.

It's all the same deal just a few different sales over time. I just did a 2 second Google search & here's what comes up:
"Tethering and Portable Hotspots with TracFone Wireless
Using your TracFone Wireless device as a portable hotspot depends on your plan and whether or not it's associated with an additional wireless service provider like Verizon. Sep 10, 2019"

Most Tf users probably don't use a hotspot, many don't even know what it is since this is for limited use, that's why you don't see it mentioned.

Apologies in advance if these are dumb questions, I've never used tracfone.

Can someone explain the unlimited carryover I keep reading about? The wording is really confusing because it says unused talk, texts and data never expire with active service but then specifies service must be active and in use within any six month period. Does this essentially mean if I purchase the 1 year plan promoted in this deal that it will be active for 1 year and any unused talk/text/data will carryover as long as I add/refill it at some point within the year to keep it active?

Also, if I have an unlocked phone can I essentially just order whatever coverage I want and simply insert the sim that comes with the purchase? I'm assuming yes but it's not 100% obvious to

Yes & Yes, might want to read up on how Tracfone works before buying so you know if it will work for you (it's all explained on their web site under customer service FAQ.)

No thanks, i'll keep my old triple minute sim so I can keep loading up on the old cards instead of getting locked into their new overpriced plans.
