This "limited-time eBay-only" deal has been $40 in the past, but still a great deal. A year of service and 3GB data for $45. 1200 minutes and 1200 texts too.

$49.99 minus 10% off with code POWERTEN on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tracfone...3448464240

Yes, this is the total that you get for a year. No, you don't get 3GB data every month. This is for light users. If you need additional data, you can get top-up pins that add 1GB for $10. You can get Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile service.

The great thing about Tracfone is that the data, minutes, and texts carry over as long as you have the line active. So if your usage is sporadic (some months when you don't need it, and then a month when you're traveling and need the service), this is for you. We use it to have Verizon service when we're traveling.

If you also need a phone, the Moto e5 is a great choice. $64 on eBay with the coupon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tracfone...9025106228

Comes with a year of service but only 1200MB data.

That's exactly what I did - I chose the "I'm not sure" carrier option and got a package with multiple sims (I just threw them away) and a tracfone card. Opened the "My account" app on my phone and added the pin number. Service date extended a year right away, min/txt/data updated in the app in about ten minutes

Except this is 3GB instead of 1500MB.

Smoking deal. I got this last month and paid $50 for it. I selected "I am not sure" for carrier and got the sims and the tracfone card. Went to my account on my phone and just added the pin to my account.

Seems like a decent deal. Was hoping we'd get something closer to the $80 for two phones with two 1200 plans again. Maybe next month....

I brought this 2 weeks ago for the same purpose as the OP -- to have access to Verizon service as a backup when we travel. We're a T-Mobile family, and while their coverage has gotten very good, Verizon is stills tops in rural areas.

Just to make sure you are saying that you can just add this pin to your already existing tracfone that you have service on currently and it will just add the year of service and minutes/data etc?

How does the Moto e5 compare to the Samsung J3 Orbit and LG Rebel 4?

If you get the I don't know choice it comes with separate activation card, so Yes. I've done it more than once & it does stack.. This offer at $50 has been available since midMay, lots of other posts on SD.

This might be a stupid question, but I cant' afford to waste $45. Money's very tight right now . . .well, all the time, really. I can add this to my existing phone and it will add the 1200 minutes to my existing rollover minutes, right?

EDIT: The post 2 minutes before mine answered this. Thanks!

$7 more on HSN for the Moto e5 with the 1500 plan instead of the 1200 plan. The better deal depends on personal preference, whether you want cheaper or more 300 minutes/text/data.

Sorry for dumb question. I have a tracfone. How do I determine which carrier it uses so I know which version to get?
