This particular set below is cheaper per piece (under 5c vs 5.6c) - and includes more wheels (if that is what you want)

Surely this is better than MSRP, but not sure how this is a good deal at all? The classics can be had at 3cents a piece at Costco, and at 5 cents you can find a bunch of actual sets that are actually fun to play with.

These are perfect for toys for tots, children's hospital donations etc. or just adding to a kid's gift.

Is this set better for building trains than the op's? My son is obsessed with trains.
