I have been eyeing one of the Step2 tables with the bells and whistles. Can any parents confirm whether all that stuff really matters to a toddler? Or will this water table be enough?

I go to Dollar Tree and buy rubber duckies 4pk (good to toss because these all get mold inside), 3pk sail boats etc. Bells and whistles dont really matter if you have other toys.

We have twins so the Step2 made more sense for us as they are less likely to fight over it since it has a lot of distractions. This would work great for one child.

I'd say save your money and buy this. They're gonna get a year or two out of this. Just throw a couple bath toys that squirt and move in it and they're be thrilled splashing away.

We have a Step2 with bells and whistles and my 2 yr old just likes to play with the water and a small bucket. This is a good deal. I'd buy it if we didn't have one yet. The water table keeps my son busy longer than any other outdoor toys he has. It just gets messy afterwards.

My son was gifted this for his 1st birthday in May. IMO, it just gets in the way. It's big, it's bulky, and we keep it outside near the pool, so it just collects rainwater (even with the plug removed) and has to be constantly cleaned. Plus, my son was much more interested in the pool than playing with this. This PITA will quietly disappear before we open the pool next spring. Just my 2 cents.

Looks like amazon match the price for a "like new or used" item, not brand new.
