LOW STOCKS, BUY FIRST ASK QUESTIONS LATER
This is the lowest price ever for the Onkyo TX-NR686, stocks are limited. Currently, they are available in San Jose and Sunnyvale frys store (my zip code 94112), check your zip code for availability or try to get other store to price match Frys. I didn't buy one because I already bought a 9.2 Pioneer from ebay a month ago for $300+, but if I didn't, I would definitely buy this because it's a highly rated THX Certified AV receiver, Rank #2 here:

It showed available for shipping at first, but after navigating the checkout process - it went out of stock. Thanks anyway OP!

My experience with the older Onkyo's is not good. Specifically they seem to not process DTS well. It's an inferior technology to Dolby anyway but none the less. And older models have had numerous failures of circuit boards though I can't speak to this one. And hey for $200 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That doesn't sound great. Sure $200 is cheap, but not if it doesn't work well. Now I'm torn.
