Was there any signage about the battery deal?
Yes there is. I was just there and pick up one.
Mine wasn't in the tool section but rather near the cash register area

Would you happen to have a picture?

Never mind. I found the signage. I'll post the picture later.

Great deal for sure. Silicosis is serious. We use the hepa filtered hammer drills on just about every job site now.

Incredible deal! Went to Lowe's and got the combo. Just perfect timing for an upcoming bathroom renovation and a great addition to my Bosch cordless tools collection. It seems these are brand new tools from Bosch. The rotary hammer is made in Germany, whereas the dust extractor is China. No visible difference in the quality of both tools from what I can tell. Also, the hammer comes in a nice hard shell case.

Wish I had the money to jump on this. A rotary hammer is an incredibly useful tool. I have rented one a few times to do various concrete drilling around the house.

There are a few major differences between the one on this post and the one you just linked. The first is that the one on the post is a cordless, 18v tool that comes with a battery and dust collector. The one in your link is a corded tool. There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to both. The corded version is a bit longer and has a slightly higher BPM (beats per minute) of 2.0 vs 1.9.

The other significant difference is the corded version also has a hammer only mode which allows you to use various chisel attachments.
The cordless also has a hammer only mode. The modes are: drill only, drill/hammer and hammer only.

Good deal if in the market for one. I already have a Milwaukee M12 fuel rotary hammer and can borrow a corded SDS Bosch for a bigger job. Difficult to justify.

My opinion is that for heavy duty tools you should almost always buy a corded tool. How often are you going to use this where you can't access power? Corded tools in the same price range will be more powerful, won't have the need to swap batteries and will last forever. You'll be able to use a corded rotary hammer drill twenty years from now, definitely can't say that about these battery run tools. If for some reason I need to use it somewhere I don't have power then I'll use my generator.

Of course if you are in this ecosystem and need batteries anyway with this deal you pick a few and get a useful tool.

I bought a corded Makita 1" last year and it has served me well.
