PSA: Brickseek Walmart Inventory Change $1

I know I will probably be hated (and TD) for delivering this news, but I think ALL SDers should be aware of the change.

We have recently experienced a change in the way we receive inventory information from Walmart. This change affects the way that inventory quantity is reported, and you may see ranges displayed instead of specific inventory quantities. We are monitoring this change and hope to bring specific inventory quantities back soon.

My guess is this an attempt by Walmart to thwart employees hiding low volume items to buy later in the week. It might backfire. Not sure this is good for the customer in any way. Its never been accurate anyway.

Thanks for the heads up.

Wally World trying to avoid subverting buyers taking the risk of getting 'the last one', and providing more incentive with a potential 'range' of stock.

Hey, whatever gets you into the store.

Like their employees and stores, Walmarts inventory system is a sloppy mess.

lol...pretty sure wal-mart's system-wide inventory change might have a little more behind it than brickseek accuracy and hoarder appeasement

Dont forget to mention the apathy starts at the top in WM, in the c-suite, and that apathy trickles all the way down the org chart.

What is it with people and their assumption that basically all Walmart employees are hiding clearance items for themselves. Is it because you never find anything that you have to make up an excuse as to why?
I can tell you why. It's because your local Walmart has no inventory management control, as in their employees are too lazy to zero out items that are stolen or sent back to manufacturer.
I have 5 Walmarts around me within 15 miles and the one closest to me has this problem, the other 4 do not.

Dude, I have seen them hide and buy stuff at the end of their shift on more than one occasion.

When something says 'limited stock' on BS and I call and they don't have stock, in my experience more often than not, the 'limited stock' has been floor/demo models after convincing them to look up the UPC

BS has been showing quantity ranges on certain things for months. It varies from item to item or from store to store.
