For those wondering how to get lenses, I had an easy time at Target Optical bringing in my own frames and script. They didn't seem to care that I wasn't buying their frames.

I've been buying my glasses from eyebuydirect for years, never paid more than $40 shipped and I've got some really screwed up eyes with an odd prescription. I highly recommend checking them out.

I've got 5 pairs all over the house; nightstand, kitchen for reading labels/recipes, in the car a pair by my puzzle book in the bathroom and one I TRY to keep on me lol I've only had 1 pair break and to date 2 of my less than $20 pairs are my favorite, one pair is wood (not fake wood) the other are semi frameless.

Get a cheap pair and check em out.

The cost of lenses is based on a myriad of things and isn't at all something that is universal. There's insurance, thickness, transitions, glare reduction et al.

How much did they charge to put the lenses in or just the cost of lenses?

I'm *fairly* sure there wasn't any additional charge. If there was I think they charged like $10 handling that they might not with their own frames.

Costco quoted me $65 for lenses only for my prescription. This was couple of years ago.

There is also another thread somewhere on SD that had the same frame PLUS prescription lenses for ~$60

Wonder how lens options work with something like this. They have no UV protection, anti-glare, or any of that good stuff.
The lenses would replace the lens of the manufactures. On your prescribed lenses you can add that stuff but would be additional charges based on where you buy it from. The lens on these glasses don't normally contain al of that since it's meant to be replaced

This sounds right IIRC, includes a $20 charge for bringing your own frames.
