Rx 5700 is marginally slower than Rx 2070. Anyway, the other deal is already expired and at this price, this is a pretty solid deal.

If the Rakuten Points were in cashback form, this would be an even slicker deal. A decent deal regardless.

About the same price as OVERPOWERED Gaming Desktop DTW3

Which one would you get?

Just noticed the DTW3 deal is dead, though it has been going in and out of stock... Regardless, I did jump on the DTW3, thinking if I should switch over?

Yeah, but I think they are good for a year IIRC. I'd probably use them by Christmas anyway.

This one hands down if you can afford the extra $80. It's a much better build, and is liquid cooled. Slightly less performance in the video card, but newer CPU and smaller/cleaner build.

look at linustechtips's review on overpowered, as well as a few others..... the tl;dr is that it's a walmart production with terrible heat management, not worth it much

als, it's 1080ti, older gpu, so it will draw more power for less performance, not worth it imo

Dell's website for this desktop gives me the option of adding a 1tb HDD for $25. There's no way to do that on Rakuten's website, is there?

The Alienware machine will have proprietary parts (power supply, motherboard). <--Can be more expensive to replace in the long run. Overpowered PC has more memory and better video card.

I'd get the Overpowered over the Alienware. At that price, I'm buying the PC for performance not power output.

I also jumped on the Overpowered, this gives me pause but think I'll stick with my existing order. One thing to keep in mind is that cash back won't be redeemed until next February, at least that's what I'm currently looking at for a monoprice monitor I recently purchased on Rakuten.
