Square bits seem to be frequently used in decking and flooring. All of my screws for my deck were either #1 or #2 square. Not sure about #3.

Lowes in my area had lots of the Bosch double-ended bits on sale/clearance for $2 too. Different head types and lengths, ymmv depending on location.

Security bits normally have a post in the middle so you can't get your driver into it.
