It is still same isn't it, after $246 Rakuten points.

No, this deal already counts the cash back to get to 1230, or maybe not, h/o..

ok so $1050 after the coupon. That's not bad, still more than previous, but not bad.

Which deal you're referring? By the way, $1230-$246 is less than $1000. I think you're counting your tax.

I'm not sure if it was posted on slick, but I did the numbers at the time, dell had the same 17 inch with that 25% promotion that was posted with the G5,

The G5 came out to ~$770, this NEW round of sales it's $880, and I recall previously the g7 17 was < $1000 as well from the previous sale.

But the difference of $100, isn't bad, so if you don't want to wait , this isn't bad.

i wouldn't say this is a good deal overall, because you're basically paying for 2 inches of screen and the aluminum shell for $300.. is 2 inch of screen and aluminum shell worth that much..

This is the only iffy part, everythign else is alrite.

I don't think there was any G5 deal with RTX 2060 and i7-9750H at $880, even including Rakuten cashback. Are you referring to G3?

15.6" is 1/16th of an inch under what is acceptable.

I know gaming laptop batteries aren't great, but that 60whr on a 17" worries me. Sounds like it might get only an hour or so.

I mean how this is not a insane slick deal? 17inc, 144hz, 16g RAM, TB3, rtx 2060. With $200 points back makes it around $1050 plus taxes. I think it's really slick.

Maybe an hour of gaming, but under normal usage it should hit at least 4hrs via the iGPU.

The HP omen with a 1070, 144hz, GSync, 256gb ssd, and 512gb HDD was $800 a few weeks ago. I think this is a better computer over all, its got faster SSD, newer bluetooth and wifi, and seems a lot smaller and lighter. Still, if specs is all you're looking for that deal kinda took the cake.

All gaming laptop (these days) massively power throttles the GPU performance.

Basically on Battery, you get ~30-50fps on lowest settings for anything like overwatch.

The Gaming in gaming laptop really only refers to the Plugged in performance.

UNPLUGGED, it's just a regular laptop .
