Vilros.com [vilros.com] has the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 2GB RAM Transparent Case Combo for $46.99 + Free Shipping.

Was fishing around for a Pi for a friend and came across this deal. Not sure how long its gonna last for but seems pretty solid. 25% off list price so I jumped on it.

More info:

Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is the latest product in the popular Raspberry Pi range of computers. It offers ground-breaking increases in processor speed, multimedia performance, memory, and connectivity compared to the prior-generation Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, while retaining backwards compatibility and similar power consumption. For the end user, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B provides desktop performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems.

This product's key features include a high-performance 64-bit quad-core processor, dual-display support at resolutions up to 4K via a pair of micro-HDMI ports, hardware video decode at up to 4Kp60, up to 4GB of RAM, dual-band 2.4/5.0 GHz wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and PoE capability (via a separate PoE HAT add-on).

The dual-band wireless LAN and Bluetooth have modular compliance certification, allowing the board to be designed into end products with significantly reduced compliance testing, improving both cost and time to market.

Will this play 4K files from a NAS without issue from the kodi media player? The rasp pie 2 could not handle it. Sometimes pi 2 crashes and restarts on libre elec trying to fast forward 1080p movies but does fine on kodi from open elec.

Where are you getting a $90 mini itx w/ RAM and CPU?
Ebay 😀... . Jusy need a bit persistent. Used one.
It was $90. Before seller jacked the price to $99

One correction. The memory was 8G. I added my spares used 8GB to make 16G total.

First of all, nobody is rooting a FireTV. It's not necessary. Installing Kodi does not require root. All you have to do is change one of the settings to allow apps from unknown sources, install an app that supports direct downloading files, and then download the apk.

Secondly, the point of Raspberry Pi is to be sort of a blank canvas. It's a barebones all-in-one inexpensive hardware platform that is based on open source architecture. It can be used for whatever you want, within its physical limitations. It can be used for DIY smart home controls, robotics, video game emulation, media playback, network routing, network security, etc.
There's an awful lot of us with rooted firetv's. Head over to XDA and see for yourself.

Amazon has been known to be somewhat capricious in what it does and does not allow, and tends to force updates. My box = I decide = root.

I read all Pi 4 models have some hardware design issue so that only a particular USB-C charger work with them. Just FYI.

that is completely incorrect. It is only the expensive fancy chargers, and cables with built in chips, like the Apple charger that may not work due to power signalling issues. A cheap generic charger and cable will do just fine, there is no specific charger you need, and in fact it is the fancy expensive specific chargers that may not work.

TLDR; do not use your $60 Apple PSU to power your $45 mini computer, and you'll be fine.

Good to know; have not fear. I'm a Silicon Valley nerd. I'll put it to good use.

What do you guys use for the Power Supply? Does it matters which one I use? Can I use a regular USB C cable with an adapter?

I was wondering the same thing. I have a bunch of Motorola turbochargers that say 3 amps at 5v.
