I'm so confused ... Before subscribe and save discount, it's been this price since Nov 2016 with the exception of two dips to $4.14 and $5.50 during that period

Yes and no. My mom and I litterly went through and looked at the ingredients of every gochujang product at a local Korean store here because my mom (Korean) did not want corn syrup or msg in what she bought. We left with nothing because they all had either msg or corn syrup in it. So Koreans sell it, but some Koreans dont want it. I'm surprised to see that this gochujang doesnt have msg in it though...

Not saying this product is good/bad as I have never tried it. But the No. 1 made in Korea brand of Gochujang has corn syrup in it. Per Amazon = CJ-Haechandle brand.

Why would someone downvote a comment providing the price history in a deal forum?

Because they are shills for this product or who are paid by slickdeals. So many fake "deals" / paid advertisements promoted by slickdeals.

So I bought some gochujang not long ago and made some marinaded pork chops with soy sauce, gochujang, honey, sesame oil, and garlic. I wasn't too impressed with the texture and flavor. I might also be using it wrong.

What does everyone use this with?
