I saw this deal last time and forgot to buy it and regretted it, but it looks like it's back.

The 10% coupon is live again. I couldn't find the original thread with 10% coupon to bump. If the mods want to bring that old thread up, that's fine with me.

Use coupon: XPSDTAFF01
Then add 10% coupon: AFFSAVE10

If anyone finds a good 8GB stick of RAM, that would be appreciated.

Wish it would let you change options like adding a optical drive and more ram. Does case not have room for dvd player?

Did you even click the link? Confused

The case has no way to install a optical drive, and you can pay more to increase the RAM from 8GB to 16GB.

The 8930 can be purchased with an optical drive, however this deal does not offer one.

I meant, why isn't the ram upgrade not half price ; like sale they have going on currently?

As mentioned I don't post much. It seems like some here rather make slick mouthed comments and rip apart people's post like they know everything. I'm here for the slick deals

So does that mean I can install optical drive myself?
Or
- Is face plate different since it's not included ?
- Is there no room to install optical since SSD drive and GPU are installed?

Because they make a lot of money buy offering upgrades (RAM, SSDs, etc) at inflated prices. You pay extra for the convenience of them doing it for you. Dell isn't the only one who does that either.

As far as the "slick mouthed comments", maybe you should be clear about what you are talking about when complaining about a deal?

I appreciate time aus took to post this deal, as well as everyone else who contributes.
I was just wishing it had same options Dell normally gives you to customize and upgrade. This PC was exactly what I had been looking for minus the DVD burner, so didn't understand why Dell has such weird sales practices on deals and upgrades.
Looking at specs seems like this model uses a laptop DVD burner. I just wanted to know if they include brackets or what's needed to install one myself before I spend the $$, I've been slicking since 2005 so no complaints here 👍

I'm back from the future, check out dell site for the Alienware aurora i5-9400 with a GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6. It has a: $200 Promo Visa® Prepaid Card Included*
I used 10% code off from new email, so was $1015 without tax ($815 with $200 card included )
Also can use code: 50OFF699 , to save $50 if you can't get the 10% to work.

You should be able to add a DVD burner pretty easily if there's a slot. I like a burner too as a cheap way to give data or pics to people, but it can be done in the cloud pretty easily too now.

That's a BEAST of a machine. You should post it in it's own thread. It's a step up from this machine and costs a little more too but totally worth posting.
