I bought this at the last sale. All in all, I'm going to recommend it as long as you're installing it for convenience purposes. The false positives and non-triggers + the fact that the videos are stored locally only mean I can't recommend it for mission critical security.

Pros: no subscription
Facial recognition is pretty good (as far as picking a face to display)
Easy to install

Cons:
No public API/Home Assistant integration to go with the rest of my system
No RTSP feed
Takes a few seconds to give the live feed. The live feed is dramatically worse when trying to bring it up on my Google Home Hub.
No way to get the video files from any mechanism outside of the app
The whole 'movement' trigger sometimes goes off when only a leaf blows by... and at other times, it has completely missed people who walked right up to the door to drop a leaflet. I'd say it's about 90% ... and hopefully something that will get better with software updates.

Really funny an account from 2018 over a year ago, decides their cherry post is on a doorbell but it happened.

Not really, I bought one last time for my future house, should hopefully be moved in by EOY. I have not had a chance to try it, but in the previous thread people mentioned it was very good. The reviews on it are all very solid too from user/youtube reviews I could find. Overall this would be perfect if it supported NAS recording, which is a possibility in the future through firmware. Company added a ton of features and performance upgrades over time to this doorbell so the support is there.

Really hard to beat a no subscription doorbell at this price.

Just ordered this to replace my SkyBell HD. I have been super happy with the SkyBell HD, but it takes 5-7 seconds to see a live image, doesn't come with angle plate (which this one does), and is not wide enough angle to see packages on my porch/doorstep. If this eufy can beat the SkyBell HD, it's a keeper!

Yup. Slickdeal needs to ban these accounts. They're probably just using a vpn to post.

Bought this during last sale. Replaced Laview doorbell in hope for better stable connection. So far biggest negative for me is HDR implementation. In my case its almost not working, making people faces non-recognizable during day time. Second negative issue: every 2-3 days it loosing connection during night, restarting device in app bring doorbell back to life.

I had SkyBell and this. Latency is about a second for eufy which is much faster plus it's motion detection is pretty good. It's better then skybell in all aspect except no cloud recording

I also have this doorbell and love it. I would say this assessment is fairly close to my experience. I have turned down the recognition zone and haven't had many problems with false detections.

I wish they would speed along with the accessories. Really holding out for them to include additional ringer modules so I can finally hear the doorbell throughout the house

I have this camera, actually really like it, but I don't use HDR as I do not need it (experience the same washing out when I turn it on). If your installation location has ample lighting then you don't need to turn it on. It states this right in the settings. Have you tried turning it off?

I'd rather have them open it up for integrations. I can have all sorts of other devices ring if they would just do that.

Maybe I'm lucky but I pulled the trigger on this the last time it was on sale (through Amazon). I've been pleasantly surprised with this doorbell. It works great through the app, my Fire TV in the bedroom and I have not had any issues since install. I did need to buy a new doorbell transformer but that was pretty cheap and easy to install once I located the old one. I think it's more responsive and video is more clear than my parents' Ring 2, but I have a very strong WiFi signal to my front door. For the price, couldn't be happier.
