Alcatel Blackberry Key2 LE, Slate (Unlocked) Walmart B&M Clearance YMMV - $199.00

Walmart (in store only) has the Alcatel Blackberry Key2 LE on clearance for $199, originally $449. This item just reduced from $349 yesterday night, so there is decent availability. Not sure if this is the best phone out there, but it's probably not bad if you need a keyboard.

As always with Walmart clearance, this is in store only and your mileage may vary.

I purchased a Alcatel Idol 5 from Walmart earlier this year and it has been a nightmare. I let the battery run down once and had to pay $20 just to send it in for service. Their service center claimed it wasn't under warranty but finally repaired it. I would recommend staying away from this brand.

Should have been the MSRP for this device. I don't know how many they sold in the US but asking $650 for Key2 and $400 for Key2LE was too much. At $200 I would definitely try this phone just like how I tried Priv at $300 (MSRP was $750 IIRC, never would pay that much for that phone).

Hmm - still too much to jump, but Alcatel is ok in our book. Have 1 of their other models running for like 2 years with no real issues after startup. Screen (IPS LED) was surprisingly good and that one was a $30 "burner" lol.

Closest store to me that has it in stock is 36 miles away. Otherwise, I'd be in as an upgrade to my KEYone which is a fine phone but is showing its age.

I understand that this is a niche device. Most people don't appreciate BlackBerry's productivity and security features like keyboard shortcuts, the Hub, and DTEK. Said features are why I've stuck with BB through the years.
