I mean its okay if you need something to put on the fire while camping. I'd gladly pay double this to get the made in the USA Lodge with much nicer finish especially if using in a kitchen.

Good pan. Not trash. You do have to properly season them before use. Very thin coat of cooking oil. 450-500 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Repeat five times. Completely non-stick. Very thin coats of oil. I got this pan in the 3 piece set. Works great, but a bit small. I prefer their 10" and 12" ones better. I own almost every brand of cast iron. The Ozarks are my daily go-tos. They're a bit lighter. No problems with the surface. Season inside and out. Repeat annually, additional 2-3 very light coates.

Ozark trails cast iron is trash, very rough and poorly seasoned. you can find 8" Lodge for $6-8 without much issue

I have this CI, and I use it in my Ninja foodi with no problems at all. Just season it properly and your good to go.
It's been this price for over 4 months, when I purchase it, and have posted this in my foodi FB groups.

Unless you are -really- hurting for money, just buy the Lodge. Lodge is made in USA, but more importantly, is a better quality product for just a few dollars more.

"Hurting for money". We're literally talking a few dollars here.

I have two of these that I keep in my camping bin. If I was using them in a kitchen I'd go with Lodge but for camping these do the job and I don't care if something happens to them or they get stolen while camping.

it is trash. it's so rough that to make it as good as Lodge out of the box you'd basically have to grind it down and start fresh. there's no reason not to spend $3 more on a product that's actually usable from the get-go (though, I'd recommend doing a few coats of seasoning on the lodge for good measure)
