I am wondering if this is a good deal since I need both. Or should I wait for the new Nest Wifi coming out next week..?

I think they already have article about saying that the new ones won't be WiFi 6.

Ah, look at that. Guess I was wrong. We will know for sure on Tuesday. It will most definitely have the assistant built into it and that might turn some people off since some people don't want them all over the house and in the house at all.

WiFi 6 is only really used when you have 50+ devices to handle though. Plus you need new hardware that supports it. It may be fast but it's 3.5gbps and no residential ISP is going to give you that.

So I may wait for when they need to clear this version off the shelves or be the tech nerd that I am and get the latest and greatest. Tuesday might make my credit card cry

Is this a good deal for someone with an old TP Link Archer C7 router I bought in 2016, just moved in to new 1700sf 2 story home, and need a doorbell cam ?

Yes it's a ugrade for sure, however 2 is more than enough for 1700 sqft. My house is about that size and it covers everything with one unit...even the front and back yard. However, you probably want to wait a couple more days when Google announce wifi 2, and these will likely drop in price.

I can't stand my Google WiFi. I had two it barely covers the whole house and in my experience it would slow down other users when 2-3 people were on the network. Upgraded to a Nighthawk, haven't looked back.

Thats strange, I have installed this systems more than 10 times, and have ZERO issues. Mainly use the 3 pack, but have also used a pack in a very large U shaped house with a courtyard in the middle. No issues with speeds or coverage.

I've heard that they're great, but mine just don't seem to work. I have like 12 devices total, and maybe 3 streams at the same time, so maybe that's the reason. I honestly have no idea what the issue was, but google support was less than useless in helping.
