Does the Hulkster sign my completion certificate personally or is it just stamped?

It's not as good as Jake the Snake's PHP DDT course, stamped or not.
Both are crap compared to Jesse "The Body" Ventura's JavaScript debugging course, "I Ain't Got Time To Read"

I've bought a bundle from StackSocial before. Poor poor quality products. Better resources out there that are free.
And you are going to share these resources when?

You walk to the library help desk and ask one of the clerks "Do we receive free access to Lynda here?"

The clerk turns around and shouts to the back room "Lynda, there's some guy here who wants access to you... For FREE!"

The whole library turns towards you and stares...
Thats only half the story.

90 year old Lynda slowly rolls through the door with her walker. The wheels are rusted, no longer perfectly round, making her colostomy bag shake and drip.

She looks at the guy and asks in a very loud voice, "did ya bring any vaseline?"

"Enroll for free", does this mean this class is free like "free beer"? or just waive some registration fee but still need to pay?

Most courses in the Coursera can be audit unless you want to be recognized for the completion of the entire specialization. If you decide to pay for the specialization, you will be graded like going to schools such as homework, papers, projects, exams, meetings/collaboration and Capstone projects. You need to commit. It isn't easy in terms of time and effort.

I highly recommend Python course by Charles Severance. A very dedicated instructor who would actually visit his students in person in certain cities. I had this entire Specialization in 2014. He made learning so much fun, engaging and to digest. I am not sure if things have changed now. There are quite some changes to Coursera in the last few years.

Free beer.. just need to sip the beer through your mouth. So the beer is free, the effort is not. All your works will not be graded, not able to participate (in most cases) and you will have no certificate of completion. I think the idea is the degree of engagement where so folks learn better. All you get from auditing the class is going through the videos. You can certainly register and find out. No registration fees as far as I know. All you have to decide is paying for that particular course or auditing it.

Didn't Lynda get bought out by LinkedIn Learning? (Who got bought out by Microsoft?) I would ask about LinkedIn Learning at the local libraries...

What is the best way (specific book, specific website, specific course, etc.) to learn Python for a senior software engineer who has expert-level Java/C/C++/C#/Ruby/etc. but has never touched Python?
