I still have my last box of this brown sugar Quaker oats I ordered 2 months ago. Haven't been able to finish it. The added sucralose sweetener combined with the sugar really makes it hard to eat in the morning.

Only the "lower sugar" varieties have sucralose mixed in. Neither of the varieties in this post have sucralose.

There's sucralose AND sugar in this? Nasty.

I'm not buying this $hit again (I hate when they *hide sugar substitutes in food).

*And by hide, I mean they don't clearly label their packages so they can be easily seen by the average person.

Where are you seeing that the "lower sugar" varieties contain sucralose? I just checked the box in my pantry, and it matches the ingredients listed here: https://www.quakeroats.com/produc...riety-pack under "nutrition info."

I do not feel this is a great price. A few weeks ago my local Frys food had it for .99 cents for a 10-pack when you bought 5.

I you do not have a frys then it might be a good deal.

the time and gas needed to get it from the store isn't worth $1.70

How's this deal compare to ALDI? Don't worry about the gas and time

There is no sucralose anymore, it's monk fruit extract now.

So apparently it's been replaced by another type of plant based calorie free sweetener. Regardless it's ridiculously sweet and leaves a bad lingering taste in your mouth for some time.

For those who want to know what is actually stated on the product listing for this product (Apples and Cinnamon) rather than relying on speculation:

"Quaker is committed to using no artificial sweeteners in our products, which led us to replace Sucralose in most of our oatmeal products."

And:

"Ingredients: whole grain rolled oats, dried apples, sugar, natural flavor, cinnamon, salt."

I've been eating this flavor as emergency breakfast at work and also since when I was a kid. For decades this flavor has been solid. It is sugary, salty but maybe a step up from a doughnut. Plus it's cheap and the packets may outlive you.

Enjoy!
