Discount Bandit basically matches you to some mom & pop store that is willing to take a loss and sell your item for the lowest price. That should trigger red flags right there - why are they so eager for your business? The major problem is after they match you Discount Bandit is completely checked out and you are left on your own to deal with the store you are matched with. I got matched to a store in Brooklyn, NY where no one ever picks up the phone or answers emails, that has the worst reviews on google and Yelp. Perseverance sometimes can get a response from this store but what a hassle!!!
Long story short, I ordered the item on 3/23 and today is 5/5 and I still don't have the appliance. I probably saved $50-100. Now the appliance is out of stock everywhere because of the pandemic so cancelling my order makes no sense. Just going to stick it out till end of may...
To make a long story short the only refund I received was $26.xx from Discount Bandit. I filed a dispute was Citi Card and they ruled in the merchant's favor even though I never received anything from them, not even an email. I learnt a $505.99 lesson yesterday.
Discount Bandit might not be scammers, but the retailer I was matched with was very dishonest and I was robbed of over five hundred dollars.
