If you don't mind the weight, the P53 has better specs for the money.

This one is better for money and more powerful. This has a slightly better Processor with Intel vPro and considerably more powerful Graphics card Quadro RTX 3000 which is a stripped down version of RTX 2070 and has the Ray Tracing hardware. P1 Gen2 has a Quadro T2000 which is a stripped down version of GTX 1660 Ti and lacks the Ray Tracing hardware. Apart from that, what I heard that if you're using Artificial intelligence and machine learning programs, RTX cards perform better due to having the extra hardware which is not present in the Non-RTX cards.

That makes this much sweeter. If you are okay with the 1 lb extra heft compared to Thinkpad p1 or Extreme Gen 2, this is actually a better and much value for money option. Also, due to the extra space, this has better thermals and better upgrade options...3 storage and 4 Ram slots.

Just a heads up. If you have perks at work its even cheaper. I priced the same laptop for $1679.57. Not sure if the cash back will work with that though.

Did you use any coupon code to see that price? I am seeing the price to be close to $2,000
