Why not just buy the Mothers clay bar system with 200g of clay bar, bottle of detailer and towel for $15? It has excellent reviews

Its softer clay, this is definitely a more aggressive version. Clay mits are the way to go, last longer and just rise off if dropped.

Synthetic clay on a sponge is the way to go! Easy on the hands. Several brands out there.
