This is the opposite of anti seize

No. antiseize is more Greasy like product with no thread locker properties. It's meant to keep whatever applied to from "seizing" the next time you take it off ie. Automotive industry where rust wrecks havoc on bolts, but if antiseize is used, you'll have a hella easier time to take the bolts, screws etc. Thread "LOCKER" is the opposite. Depending on the "strength" its meant for keeping hardware LOCKED on either permantly, medium locked or lightly locked etc. I use locker where vibration is a issue on loosening hardware ie lawn mower bolts that rattle loose. There are millions of applications for both products, just use the right product.

The blue was $3.50 during the last deal so this is a good price.

i use blue threadlocker on 90% of the bolts I work with on my x3. If your application undergoes a lot of vibration, mud, etc. then this is a must have

I"ve never used permatex, I've always used locktite. I suppose I'll give this a go and see how it performs

I've used this before. It's not as good as Locktite brand, but it's functional.

I think this is a little milder than loctite blue but that's good in some applications, in for one because my old tube of loctite is running low (and messy). Wish I could find a deal on the packets they sell at parts stores of antiseize etc.
