It's not just a bang for your buck NVMe,. It's a top performing NVMe that rivals the 970 EVO Plus in most things except ridiculously large (700gb+) file transfers.

I had this problem though not as severe, i was getting 1000MB/s sequential write. This is on my laptop. On my laptop the fix was to turn off pcie power saving, and i got 2400ish.

CPU power state makes a difference too, if you're using it in a laptop for example, you have to use throttlestop to see the full performance in benchmark, by setting the speedshift value such that the cpu turbos to peak frequency.

The sx8200 pro 1tb went as low as $110 on Rakuten (Sold direct by Adata, legit), so, this is luke warm.

Expect the same or better sale during BF..

Here what i got when inquired about price match:
"Thank you for waiting. Upon checking, I show this is a marketplace order and it is not price match guaranteed. I am sorry we are unable to issue the price difference to you.".

There in no refund.back credit available Frown

So the option is return it and buy this one?

TIA.

I think a "marketplace order" means you bought the drive from a 3rd party company selling via the New Egg site? In that case before returning, make sure it can be returned for full refund, and without any shipping deductions.

Got this one and saved $16.24, better to pay $64.94 than $81.18, adding 30% off Amex promo, and another 2% online, Thanks OP and Thanks guys for your help.

I wouldn't touch stuff from Adata with a 10 foot pole. I've only ever had 2 SSDs failed on me, both from adata

Only for read, evo plus has much higher writes. i definitely agree it's better value.

It's basically this or the ex950, which is almost identical. Adata has a bad rep, buhhh given how similar this round is to the reference controller board, I don't think they can screw it up that bad..
