Good price for what it is, but the 4" minimum and 18.6" maximum height are going to be pretty limiting for a lot of applications.

Though it was a decent jack, mine was leaking oil on delivery. While that can happen with any item, the return was a pain since I have no Costco in my state and the return had to go via mail. The box was oil stained which made taping it up difficult. Got interesting looks from the UPS guy at the counter.

Passing that along since I hadn't considered the hassle of a return when I ordered it. And I'm lazy enough to consider that effort a hassle. I expect most will probably deliver without issue.

I've had this jack for a year and a half now and find it very solid with no issues. Makes raising cars effortless. I thought it was going to be lighter than it turned out to be but it didn't bother me.

I've had an Arcan jack, from Costco, for over 10 years. She ain't pretty but still works like new. A hundred dollar bill is a good price on this jack.

Which is better depends on ones specific needs, but unless you're going to be carrying it around, 8.9 lbs is not that much additional weight, and the steel would be stronger. The XL2500 is also "Low-Profile," and longer jack. Personally I wish Costco was still selling the XL35R, it was a low profile, longer reach, and lift jack.

Lifting Capacity
2.5T vs. 3T, Diff. 1000lbs Less

Weight
67.2lb vs.58.3lb, Diff. of 8.9lbs Heavier(Only the red portions of the HJ3000 are aluminum.)

Min. Lift Height:
3.3in vs. 4in, Diff. .7in Lower

Max. Lift Height
18.8in vs. 18.6in, Diff. .2in Higher

Overall Length
28.1in vs. 24in, Diff 4.1in Longer

What kind of maintenance do you guys do on a floor jack? How often do you check the oil?

When you wait until floor jack won't raise quickly, or lowers by itself a little after raised, then you change the oil is that too late and dangerous.

I only use floor jack once every month or so. So far it's been working great.
