768p screen, consider yourself warned. Aside from that it's nice for the price. One open DIMM slot for easy RAM expansion.
The screen is enough of a turn-off for me that I'll pass.

FWIW, performance is about the same between the two, this is new and the acer is a refurb.

And owning a 15.6" with 768 resolution, I can tell you it looks like crap. Video is okay but text isn't.

However, I wasn't fond of the price on the acer. A lot of folks jazzed up about its upgrade potential, but if you're going to buy ram and a larger compatible SSD, there have been and will be a lot of laptop deals that would cost the same new.

Good price, especially w/ Google, for what it is. For me, I'd spend another $50-$100. for more/better. Repped.

Almost feels like with the Acer aspire 5 deal, the HP 14, and now this deal, Black Friday might deliver some insane PC deals for under $300. My gut is telling me i5, ips screen, ssd, 8gb for around $300 and less...

This has the similar specs to the Acer Ebay deal.
Key differences:
+ USB C port present here, no charging capability
+ SD card reader
+ $45 cheaper than Acer

- no 1080p screen
- no backlit keyboard

tough decision here

I think the Acer deal was solid for the price. The main selling points were 1080p and current gen Ryzen CPU. It's hard to find both for $260.
Considering non-Ryzen machines were going for 200 before taxes front page, I would say the extra ~$45 is very well spent
I would definitely take an open box one of these over those new 200 machines that were posted recently

Considering I bought an i5/256GB SSD/8GBram lappie with a 15.6" 1080 screen for a little over $300 and an i7 laptop for $399 in the last month, no I don't think the price was that great for a refurb with weak graphics, not a lot of RAM, small SSD and a low end AMD cpu.

But to each their own.

This was also on sale last week. I just returned it to Best Buy today because the battery life is absolutely horrid.

Just doing my web browsing it was struggling to hit 2.5 hours of use.
